Police in Victoria say they are investigating a spate of bike thefts in the state.
A report released by the Victoria Police Crime Command this week said the thefts have been on the rise in recent months.
The offences ranged from theft of bikes to damage to vehicles and bike theft.
One woman, from Port Hedland, was recently sentenced to six months in jail for two counts of theft.
She had stolen two bicycles from her neighbour’s garage, police said.
Police are asking anyone who sees someone trying to steal a bicycle to contact Crime Stoppers.
